INTRODUCTION
The event aims to provide a fine, brand-new platform in Canada for prolific overseas inventors, innovators and research scientists with spectacular ideas and students with great talents to grasp a special opportunity to showcase creativity and some of their finest innovation projects and scientific research outcomes in this international event established in Canada. 2016 International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2016 put its main focus to offer a new showground, a platform for recognition of creativity and innovation especially to ALL overseas participants.
iCAN 2016 provides all-around program including display and exhibition of inventions, educational seminars followed by the awarding ceremony of recognizable invention entry applications. The event will serve as a great opportunity for all participants to be recognized for creativity through their inventions and introduce their innovative products to the Canadian market. Participation to the competition is flexible with two different methods for all applicants: in-person & long-distance (see below section for details).

PARTICIPATION METHOD 1: LONG-DISTANCE (CYBER-STYLE)
We highly acknowledge the fact that it is quite difficult for overseas individual/group applicants to join the competition on site in person. Thus, we provide a convenient participation method that can allow you to join iCAN 2016 from home!
1) Download iCAN 2016 Entry Form, complete your entry and submit it by email to [email protected]
SUMMARY OF HOW IT WORKS:
- The organizer will respond back to you with a reply to confirm your email submission and guide for next registration procedures
- You will be updated with entry evaluation result for award, procedures for registration fee payment, and recipient information
-> At the end of August and early September, the organizer will dispatch award packages to be sent towards your mailing address
-> Award Package will include: iCAN 2016 Award Certificate, Medal, Event Catalogue/Souvenirs, and Certificate of Participation
-> Once you receive the package, you can take photos with the awards and send by email - to be included in Award Winners' Page

2) Enrichment Service for Long-Distance Participants at the Exhibition Site (Optional)
ON-SITE SERVICE OFFERED BY THE ORGANIZER (UPON REQUEST):
- If preferred, you are able to send your invention/innovation project posters to the organizer before the Final Round Exhibition
-> The organizer will display your poster on site in Toronto and provide photos of your poster displayed at the exhibition venue
- If preferred, you are able to provide the organizer with a video, slideshow, or advertisement articles/flyers before the exhibition
-> The organizer will play your video/slideshow on the central overhead projector, distribute advertisement articles/flyers to guests
- If preferred, you are able to send your invention/innovation project posters to the organizer before the Final Round Exhibition
-> The organizer will display your poster on site in Toronto and provide photos of your poster displayed at the exhibition venue
- If preferred, you are able to provide the organizer with a video, slideshow, or advertisement articles/flyers before the exhibition
-> The organizer will play your video/slideshow on the central overhead projector, distribute advertisement articles/flyers to guests

There are many invention shows across Asia and Europe, but it was not common for North America especially the Canadian invention fair/contest until TISIAS created iCAN 2016. We have set the tone and this new platform is ready for your invention.

PARTICIPATION METHOD 2: IN-PERSON (EXHIBITION)
Applicants nominated for awards who wishes to join in person to the iCAN 2016 Final Round Exhibition and Award Ceremony to be held on August 27th in Toronto are welcome to visit Canada, present your inventions/projects and compete for the Final Round Top Awards!

PAYMENT METHOD
Once you have submitted your application entry form, you will receive a confirmation email (in 1 or 2 business days) from us after we have reviewed your files. Afterwards, we will provide you with the invoice for payment and you may process payment via following 3 methods:
1) TELEGRAPHIC WIRE TRANSFER
Payment beneficiary information (bank & account information) will be provided on invoice to allow international bank transfer
3) CASH PAYMENT (IN-PERSON ONLY)
This 3rd method of payment is applicable only for those who are participating iCAN 2016 in person in Toronto on August 27th

iCAN 2016 participants will be able to travel in the City of Toronto easily by subway and local buses TTC
